iRest Yoga Nidra is a guided self-inquiry practice that helps us remember our ever present wholeness and wellbeing. By moving through the energy layers of the body, starting with the the most dense, the physical, up through the mind and into higher less dense planes, we learn to experience ourselves as a vast being presence with ever changing moods and patterns passing through as messengers. Over time, we become more attuned to this deep presence of who and what we are, allowing us freedom from our commonly held beliefs and limitations, freeing us to explore a greater awareness of spontaneity, creativity, and understanding. Practices are offered in group settings, as well as dyads/one-to-one sessions, or given for self-practice by gathering tools to build ones own inner network of available resources. By practicing little and often, the experience expands itself as we interweave an unlimited presence and sense the vastness of our connection to our shared existence.
Restorative Yoga combines healing modalities to create a safe and supportive environment. Classes consist of gentle yoga, hands on assists, breath work and meditation. Participants are guided into restorative postures with body alignment cues and the use of props. All postures involve lying down in comfortable, supportive positions, often with an eye pillow. Breathing techniques are offered along with poetry, guided readings, ambient music, and essential oils to create space to restore and come back to ones natural state of relaxation, ease, safety, self love, and wisdom. Through-out the class participants receive hands on support to help enhance the pose, provide a gentle stretch, and to offer support for ones physical, emotional, mental and spiritual bodies. Our intention is to hold space for participants to come back to themselves and to be guided back to their own center and sacred space within.
